Advent is right around the corner! I have been thinking about how we can learn during this time of lockdown and social distancing. Advent is such an important time during the Christian calendar to take time to reflect and pray for the evil in the world and get excited about Christ’s birth.

We have decided to use the ‘Muddy Church’ idea of creating a trail for children to walk around the local streets of Wendell Park finding characters from the nativity story. Each character will be placed in the front windows of people’s houses starred on the map (please see the poster). On the character pictures there will be a QR code which when scanned on a device will give activities to do.

The idea is that we are trying to be as Covid-safe as possible. The trail will be up from the first Sunday in Advent (29 November) until Christmas Eve. Please do the trail on whatever day/time you choose – and do keep to social distancing guidelines.
