St Saviour’s is home to award-winning charity The Upper Room, based in St Saviour’s Upper Hall. The Upper Room works with homeless people, economic migrants and ex-offenders to help them improve their lives and conditions. Providing a safe, warm and friendly environment, evening meals (UR4Meals), an employment support service (UR4Jobs), a driving project (UR4Jobs), as well as various additional services, The Upper Room has lifted the personal self-esteem, improved health and helped many disadvantaged adults to become economically independent. St Saviour’s has long enjoyed close links with Wendell Park Primary School, across the road from our church, and over the years our Vicar has had a role on the Board of Governors.
