We’re so pleased to welcome our new curate David Hill, his wife Verity, and their son Joshua, to St Saviour’s. We’re looking forward to getting to know them, and to all the good things they will bring us in their ministry here. David writes:
Dear St Saviour’s family
I am so thrilled to be joining you as curate with my wife, Verity, and our one-year-old son, Joshua. We have just moved over from south London and are excited to be living in the community of this beautiful area, which we have enjoyed exploring! Mostly, we are looking forward to serving alongside the church family at St Saviour’s, getting to know everyone and being able to worship together.
I grew up in Birmingham before moving to Bristol, where I studied my first degree. I have since lived in London for about 14 years, where I have worked for the NHS and as a firefighter in the London Fire Brigade, before leaving to pursue the call to ordination.
Verity previously worked as a special educational needs co-ordinator before becoming a full time mum nearly a year ago. She is halfway through her training to be a counsellor, which she will complete in the next few years, and is also a soprano and worship singer.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all this Sunday, and in the coming weeks.
God bless
David, Verity and Joshua
