Chris Lee, our Vicar writes:
As lockdown and restrictions lift, I wanted to make clear what we as a church doing in response. The new government guidelines of 19 July state that face masks are no longer a legal requirement. The decision to wear one is now about individual choice.
There is also no legal requirement to limit the number of people in church, or to insist on social distancing.
We are therefore relaxing our restrictions and opening church up in line with this new advice.
Please be aware that some people in church may wish to continue wearing a face mask, or may still want to leave space between themselves and others. Please be sensitive to the choices other people are making, and respect their decision to maintain the pre-19 July rules.
We are now allowed to sing in church, and I’m encouraging us all to raise our voices in praise.
